Art Spiegelman, celebrated both for his treatment of the Holocaust in cartoon form in his two-volume Maus and for his cover-illustrations for The New Yorker, will discuss his most recent, post-9/11, book, In the Shadow of No Towers, and the circumstances surrounding its production.
The Leslie and Dickey Centers wish to acknowlegde the participation of the new Center for Cartoon Studies, directed by James Sturm, in White River Junction (http://www.cartoonstudies.org/). One purpose of this event, made possible by Art Spiegelman's generosity, is to publicize the foundation of the school.
