1. Elections
The election is 8 days away. After the death of Paul Wellstone, the NH Senate race has potentially become the most important senate race in the country, and could come down to literally a couple hundred votes. The Greens really need to get out and help the Democrats. Jeanne Shaheen has an outstanding environmental record, and stands for many of the Greens' values. There are phone-banking opportunities every night this week from 6-8. Transportation and all instructions will be provided. Volunteers are also needed for Election Day, November 5. If you can help AT ALL please blitz Joshua Stern. We need every person! We must tip this race and keep the Senate with a Democratic majority!2. Jeanne Shaheen Speaking on Friday!

This evening at 6:30 there was a meeting of the environmental roundtable. The roundtable is also the group which will be networking with other Ivies in the new Ivy League Environmental Coalition. The first project of ILEC is a tree-free paper campaign, as determined at the Greening of the Ivies conference. The goal of this campaign is to have all Ivy League schools use 100% recycled paper, and with the strength of all schools we know it can happen! Please blitz Sue DuBois for more information or to get involved.6. Banned Books Week Nov. 11-15
