What are the main causes of these floods?

Obviously "heavy rain" is the main cause of large floods. The second main cause is "brief torrential rain" which generates flash floods. These causes might be combined (or generated) to one of the other causes. Among this other flood causes, tropical cyclones and monsoonal rain are quite important. Finally, 52 floods were also caused (more or less directly) by dam (or levy) break (or release).
