Earth Science is the study of the physical, chemical and biological processes that shape the the earth surface. Accordingly, Dartmouth Earth Scientists conduct research in the diverse discplines fields of earth science (listed below). Adddionally, earth system processes frequently overlap and are interdependent, thus, earth science research often involves collaborative and inderdisciplinary investigations. Dartmouth Earth Sciences recognizes the need for such collaboration, and works to provide a research environment supportive of these synergistic interactions.
