Dartmouth Earth Science Computing

Modern computing facilities are an integral part of earth science research. The Department of Earth Sciences at Dartmouth College is well equipped, with modern computing labs. These labs include a verity of Windows and Macintosh personal computers, color printers, and scanners. The department also maintains a central file server to facilitate file sharing and document backup.

 

 

 

 

COMPUTER LABS
A facility to meet the general comping needs of seniors and graduate students.
A facility led by Dr. Renshaw that provides computing for classes.
A facility led by Dr. Birnie for projects related to GIS and Remote Sensing.
A facility that provides GIS data, and a 36" large format printer.
Provides computing assistance to faculty and staff in the Science division.
Unix Computing is also available on the department's DEC Unix and Redhat servers. Please contact Dr. Sonder for infomation about these systems.
