Dartmouth Chemistry Awards

The Francis L. Town Scientific Prizes

Established in 1926 through a bequest of Francis L. Town, Dartmouth Class of 1856, and offered annually to "one meritorious and deserving student in each department of scientific study at the College" at the end of their sophomore year. The recipients are chosen by a committee made up of The President, the Dean, and the chairs of the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, and Biological Sciences. The Chemistry winners are listed here.
