Environmental Health Science Links for Teachers
Environmental Inquiry supports teaching and learning about the environmental sciences through teacher education, curriculum
research and development, and scientific inquiry by students in grades 7-12. The site includes a tutorial on peer review, a
web-based peer review system for students participating in the site's bioassay experiments and other activity guides related
to toxicology, watershed design and invasive species. The web site is produced and maintained by Cornell and Penn State
universities.
EE-Link is a comprehensive guide to environmental education resources on the Internet. The site is produced by the North
American Association for Environmental Education with support from the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Environmental health science education programs for grades K-12 is an initiative of the National Institute of Environmental
Health Sciences. The site offers resources for teachers including curriculum materials, pamphlets and fact sheets for
students, a comprehensive list of links to children's science sites and homework and science project resources. The site also
includes information on workshops for science teachers and the NIEHS Scientists in the Classroom project.
EPA Office of Environmental Education - Materials and Resources is an electronic catalog of the many environmental
educational materials that have been developed or funded by EPA.
I'm In Charge of My Own Health is an environmental health web site for students and teachers in grades 4 through 8. Students
will find a glossary, experiments and pages on bacteria, nutrition and the link between sunlight and cancer; teachers will
find lesson plans, sources for free materials, and a list of environmental health science web links and other resources. The
site was produced by the Center for Research on Environmental Disease (CRED) at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer
Center Science Park-Research Division and the University of Texas at Austin.
