2006 Public Meetings on EPA’s Proposed Plan


The EPA has recently completed its proposed plan for addressing the third and final cleanup action at the Elizabeth Mine site. This action addresses the areas not covered in the previously adopted Time Critical Removal Action and Non-Time Critical Removal Action plans.

The EPA will present and discuss its proposed plan at a public meeting Tuesday,
July 11th, 7PM at Barrett Hall in S. Strafford, Vt. The public is encouraged to attend. For further information on this meeting, call EPA–Community Involvement Coordinator Pam Harting-Barrat at 617-918-1318 or toll-free at 888-372-7341 x81318.

Following this presentation will be a public comment period on the plan extending from July 12 through August 11, 2006 and a Public Hearing August 1 at Barrett Hall, where you can give EPA feedback on the plan. Public input can also be sent in writing, postmarked no later than Aug. 11, to:
