We just finished 3 tournaments the last three weekends. At the MLK Mirror on February 3rd at Boston University, Dartmouth A (Robert, Randall, AJ and Dominic) finished 5th out of 9 with a record of 4-4 (including a forfeit due to travel-related issues) and Dartmouth B (Luofei, Austin, Alan, Ashley and Jason) finished 8th out of 9 with a 1-7 record. At NAQT Sectionals, the following weekend at Harvard, the A team (Aravind, Randall, AJ and Dominic) won the Round Robin going 9-1 and finished second overall out of 11 teams after the playoffs with an 11-2 record. The B team (Ashley, Austin, Kevin and Robert) went 7-5, including handing the Dartmouth A their only loss during the round robin. Dartmouth B’s Austin had the highlight of the tournament powering 4 consecutive questions, including one after going to the bathroom at halftime. At ACF Regionals, this past weekend at Brandeis, the A team (Tiberiu, AJ, Randall and Dominic) finished 7-3, tying for 3rd out of 11 teams with Harvard. The A team handed Rutgers, their only defeat of the round-robin 240-105. The B team (Austin, Ashley, Robert and Luofei) played well and left with some very valuable takeaways. |
