2001-2002 Student Activities Guide
A Guide to Clubs, Activities, and Organizations at Dartmouth

September 2001

1. An Introduction

Welcome to Dartmouth '05s and welcome back '04s!

This is a comprehensive listing of all the student organizations on campus that you can get involved in. You will find that there are many opportunities to join organizations like the ones you may have done in high school, and many that are completely new. Dartmouth needs the input and enthusiasm of all of its students, and all of these organizations are listed because they would love to work with you.

05s, you're probably wondering how to get in touch with these organizations. A 'blitz' contact name is listed for most of these organizations. Watch for posters and info sessions advertised around campus; many of the groups will be meeting or performing during the first weeks of the term. Also, look out for the 2001 Student Activities and Services Fair October 2, 3-6PM that will take place at the Top of the Hop and Alumni Hall. This is a great opportunity to see what each organization is about, learn about what they plan to do in the coming terms, and how you can get involved.

This campus needs a large group of active and spirited people like you to excite this place. There are over 200 organizations for you to consider, so take your time deciding which ones are right for you, and if none of them fit your interests, start your own! It's as easy as visiting the Student Activities Office on the second floor of Collis. In fact, since last year's publication, over 25 new organizations have been formed.

So, flip through this guide and see what you like. Get involved as much as possible and make the most of your time here.

In closing, I'd like to thank Linda Kennedy and Pat Moss from the Student Activities Office for helping compile the lists of all the organizations, Dean Holly Sateia and Carol Bushway for their help in funding this endeavor, and Tim Whelan'03 and Fred Grieb'03 for all their hard work and effort in putting the actual guide together.
